Designing for Strength: Enhancing Mechanical Performance through Structured Patterns in 3D Printed Elastomer

Abstract The mechanical performance of 3D printed elastomers is crucial for various applications including soft robotics, wearable devices, and biomedical engineering. This study investigates the impact different structured patterns, namely vertical crosswise SC, on strength elastomers. Through a series experimental tests numerical simulations, it was found that cross-shaped structure exhibited best among tested patterns. enhanced can be attributed to unique arrangement structure, which effectively distributes stress reduces strain concentration. findings this provide valuable insights into design fabrication high-performance elastomers, paving way development advanced materials devices with improved properties.
